Our Rowing Section recently travelled to Venice to take part in Vogalonga, Charlotte Hopkins, Rowing Captain has sent me the following, there is also a link below to a short Youtube film.
Just a summary, 2,700 vessels on the water. 7,000 participants. 32 k around Venice out to the lagoon and past Burano and Murano . The final leg ending up via the Carnereggio and Grand Canal. Myself and 3 x other crew drove the boats over 2,400 miles via, France, The Alps and Italy. I hope to do a “talk” on this to the club at some point if they wanted to see some photos and hear about it . It was quite an achievement
