An Introduction to Sailing Course will be run over 4 days from 30th May, 2023, during school half-term holidays, it is open to novices from 9 to 16 who can swim.

The cost of the course will by £75.00 pp payable to Barry Yacht Club to be paid on allocation to the course. The course is primarily for BYC Members and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, non members will be allocated if spare places are available.

On completion of the course the student will be able to rig and sail a small dinghy in sheltered waters under supervision and will have received appropriate background training and information. The course will be followed up by improver sessions throughout the season, any non members wishing to take part in these may en-roll their children as BYC cadets for approx £36.00 pp. pa. The sessions are free.
