CCS is a small charity operating a Hawk 20 dayboat from Cardiff Bay Yacht Club (CBYC). The boat can take up to 3 crew (for Racing) plus Skipper. There is an opportunity for sailors who have not raced before, or perhaps older sailors who do not sail their own boats anymore and would like to take part in occasional informal racing at CBYC.
The racing series is called TARS (Thursday Afternoon Racing Series) and starts at 12:30 finishing about 13:30 – 14:00, racing within the Bay. Afterwards we meet up with the other crews in the Bar and enjoy a drink and some banter. It’s a very light hearted event and is as much about that as the racing. No racing experience is necessary.
