Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan
St David’s Celebration Concert,
7.30pm Friday 3rd March , 2017.
All Saints Church, Penarth.

Colin Jones is assisting in the organisation of the above charity concert featuring the Melingriffith Brass Band, the oldest brass band in Wales, Harpist Llewelyn Ifan Jones and a guest vocalist.  This year the Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan, Councillor Stuart Egan's chosen charities are the Llandough Hospital Orchard Charity project and the Penarth and District Lesotho Trust.

The Llandough Hospital Charity Orchard Project is a new innovative scheme which will be the first of its kind in Wales. 17 acres of land at the rear of Llandough Hospital will be converted into a community orchard and garden. The project will be mapped by a team of educationalists and wildlife experts, spearheaded by Wildlife Presenter Dr Rhys Jones from Cardiff University. The orchard will provide therapeutic treatment for patients, and allow visitors and staff to relax in a pleasant environment away from the formality of wards and waiting rooms.  The facility will also be available to the public at large.

The Penarth and District Lesotho Trust organises and supports visits from Wales to Lesotho. During the last 10 years it has supported grants for health and schooling and all ages of the group have visited regularly to undertake work themselves.

Barry Yacht Club ShopBYC Shop form

Why not treat yourself or your loved ones this winter, to something from the BYC shop. By far the most popular items are the hoodies – lovely and warm, and really quite smart too, or the body warmers as worn by several members – they’re very warm and really versatile.

If you don’t want to spend quite as much as that there are always the t-shirts or in our unpredictable weather – the beanies (couldn't be easier to get hold of a beanie or peaked cap as some are available behind the bar).

For information and price list/ order form just click on the poster – but please remember full payment is required before the order will be placed. Just hand your order in at the bar or give to Wendy or John and we’ll let you know as soon as we get your items back from our supplier. There’s also more information behind the bar about the items we can supply.
